Protecting numerous sites that are related to the life of the nation's 17th president, the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site offers unique and intriguing insight into the president's life and times. Begin an exploration of the park with a trip to the visitor center, which features a museum, Johnson's tailor shop and the Eastern National bookstore. Other structures contained within the site include two of his homes, one featuring exhibits on Johnson's life before his presidency and the other containing an extensive array of items from the Johnson family and the 19th century. Head to the national cemetery, where Andrew Johnson and his family are buried, as well as military veterans. All of the distinct locations within the historic site are located in Greeneville, not far from other historic places like the Dickson-Williams Mansion.
